This might just be my most me newsletter yet — because today, we’re talking all things fake food! 🍓🥐 If you know me, you’ll know my love for funky homeware, clothing, and accessories runs deep, and I’m always drawn to anything food-themed. Some of my absolute favourite pieces? My iconic corn-on-the-cob side table, strawberry vases, and, of course, my ever-growing collection of funky candles — croissants, pancakes, French toast, strawberries… the list is endless!
Honestly, I think this is also why my love for Jellycat Amuseables runs so deep — there’s just something about food-themed things that feeds my soul.
As retailers continue to embrace this deliciously fun trend, I’ve handpicked some of my favourite faux food finds to share with you. While some may call it a trend, for me, it’s a forever love — these feel-good pieces make perfect gifts (for yourself or others) and are guaranteed to bring you joy.
So, let’s serve up some seriously sweet finds — starting with candles! I have no idea why I feel the need to buy so many, but I just love them! It’s no secret that some of the best candles can be found in Homesense and TK Maxx, and I recently discovered that the brand DW Home has a sister brand called Goodies — the ultimate destination for food-themed candles.
Shopping in TK Maxx or Homesense often feels like The Hunger Games — you’ll usually find just one or two hidden gems left on the shelf! But it’s always my first stop, especially when I’m hunting for funky candles. Below are a few recent foodie finds I’ve spotted in-store…

And finally, below are a few funky food accessories I’ve found! It’s safe to say that the strawberry and tomato hot girl summer 🍓🍅 is making a glorious return for another year (thank goodness). With novelty earrings, beaded bags, and all things fruity and fun, this trend is thriving — and I’m fully committed. Playful, nostalgic, and just the right amount of kitschy, food-themed accessories are the easiest way to inject some joy into your wardrobe. Honestly, I don’t think this era will ever end for me.
